Triple/S Dynamics traces its roots back to 1888, when Henry Sutton teamed up with Walter and Edwin Steele to pioneer the use of airflow, vibration, and electric fields for separating dissimilar materials. They established Sutton, Steele & Steele, one of the first manufacturing companies incorporated in the small, but growing city of Dallas.

By the turn of the century, the company invented the first gravity separators for improving mineral and agricultural products through the separation of off-density materials.

In 1925, the firm was recognized by the Franklin Institute of Philadelphia with the John Price Wetherill medal for Discovery, Invention or Development in the Physical Sciences.

In 1959, Sutton, Steele & Steele acquired Overstrom & Sons, a machinery engineering firm founded by Professor Gustave Overstrom which specialized in screening and conveying equipment for the mining and aggregate industries.

The name Triple/S Dynamics was adopted in 1968 to underscore the company's continued commitment to the development of dynamic vibratory equipment for the processing industries. Since then, Triple/S Dynamics has developed a diverse range of product lines including:

  • Complete plants for the reclamation of non-ferrous metals from scrap sources
  • Rugged, large-capacity vibrating screens for separating foreign material from over 1,000 tons of grain per hour.
  • Some of the largest vibrating conveyors for feeding ferrous scrap into a continuous steel casting process.
  • A system for manufacturing bricks from waste incinerator ash.
  • Scrap tire shredding systems
  • The Slipstick Conveyor, designed for the gentle handling of food, pharmaceutical, chemical, steel and other fragile dry bulk products.

Today, Triple/S Dynamics has the same mission of its pioneering founders: partnering with our customers to identify their processing objectives and providing solutions through research, development, engineering expertise and quality manufacturing.

We’re proud of the depth and breadth of experience we’ve accumulated from more than 120 years of service to the process industries.  You will be able to see through these pictures why Triple/S Dynamics remains a pioneer in advancing the entire processing industry. Our founders designed and developed much of the processing equipment we use today. We still have the original drawings. Who better to chose for your processing equipment needs than the pioneers themselves, Triple/S Dynamics.
